My own aunt, Mrs Rita Fox (nee Garvey) from Bootle was a supervisor at Vernon's Pools, this is her wedding photo taken 28th July 1945 when she married Mr Clement Fox from Litherland (son of the late William Fox Timber Merchant). Both worked on the buses during WW2 and listed as "Omnibus Drivers" on their wedding cert. Witnesses were Ernest Harold Williams and Mary Mulholland

Vernons Girls 1941: Barbara's mum Bessie Edwards (later Currie) is second from the left This photo says on the back - "taken Tuesday 22nd July 1941 at 10 Johnston Avenue Orrell Liverpool 20"
