  • DIED On the 3rd of May last, of fever, in Calcutta River, on board the ship Livingston, of this port, in the 20th year of his age, John, the third son of the late Mr. J BIRCH of his majesty’s customs at this port.
  • On the 30th of July last in Barbados, age 24. Joseph B COULTHARD, son of the late Mr. William COULTHARD, of Douglas Isle of Man.
  • On Thursday 5th, William WRIGHT, of Southport, aged 86 years, a member of the society of friends, he resided formerly at Sheffield.
  • On Sunday the 8th, Mr. Henry BUCK of the Grapes Inn Water Street.
  • On Wednesday, the 25th, aged 45, Mr. PAULDEN, Lime-kiln Lane in this town, and formerly of Over Peever in Cheshire.
  • On Saturday the 28th, aged 28, Captain BAYNTUN MP, for York city. The immediate cause of death was scarlet fever, but the fevered state of his mind, arising from his pecuniary difficulties, is supposed to have hastened this event.
  • Same day at Lancaster, Thomas BOWERS Esq., one of his Majesty’s Deputy Lieutenants for the county of Lancaster.

  • Same day at his house, at Pimlico, Richard HEBER, Esq., one of the greatest bibliopoles of any age or country. So extensive is the library that he has collected should he have ordered it to be sold at auction, on the most modest calculation it is estimated that the sale would occupy 365 days.

  • Same day, at Dalton-in-Furness, aged 76 yrs., Mrs. Anne HARTLEY, relict of the late Mr. Phillip HARTLEY cotton spinner, Ulverston.
