On Friday morning the 9th, the wife of James HARRISON one of the Turnkeys at the House of Correction was delivered of three fine girls, in Stanley street in Preston. They are all likely to do well and have been baptised by the names of Charlotte, Maria and Dorothy

On Wednesday se'nnight the wife of John THENWALL police officer of this town, was delivered of one male and two female children. The male was born alive but died soon after

DEATHS

In March last at Vera Cruz, in their 15th year, Messrs Henry and George SYMONS, twin brothers , and midshipmen on board his Majesty's ship Sybille. The former died of a fever and the latter five days after, through grief for the loss of his brother

Lately at Clunie, parish of Terregles Mr Samuel McMINN, farmer aged 81. About a fortnight previous, he paid a visit to his daughter, Mrs John FROOD at Rabbiewhat, whose husband was lately drowned while crossing at Bowness. Mr McMINN passed through Dumfries, early in the afternoon, on his return home and had proceeded as far as Glen Burn about a quarter of a mile from his own residence , when in crossing a narrow wooden bridge over that place, it is supposed his foot slipped and he fell into the stream, and although it was not above a foot in depth, yet from the fatigue he had undergone, the suddeness of the fall and his head being immersed in water, the vital spark was entirely gone before he was discovered

Lately Frances BRIDGFORD aged 78 attended at the Register's office in Worcester to prove her husband's will, while doing so she was much affected, and after paying the fees, she sunk into a chair speechless: she was immediately conveyed to a neighbouring house where she died in a few minutes

On the 5th of May last at Deer Island, New Brunswick, Nicholas KENNEDY, mariner, aged 30 years

Lately at Chelmston, Mr Samuel ROBINSON parner in the house of messrs JONES, WIGGINS, HEDLEY and ROBINSON wholesale stationers, Aldgate London, and formerly of Hull

On Sunday the 11th inst. aged 81, Mr William WEWELL formerly a stocking manufacturer in Lancaster

On Monday the 16th inst. aged 90 Mr David CLARKE formerly a snuff manufacturer in Lancaster

On Wednesday se'nnight Mrs TWISS of Preston in the county of Lancaster. relict of the late Richard TWISS late of Trevallyn, in the county of Denbigh, Esq, formerly in the East India Company's Civil Service, sister of Edward Robert TRAVIS Esq, one of his Majesty's Justice of the Peace for the county of Lancaster, and mother of the Rev Robert TWISS LL D of Liverpool and of Pembroke College Cambridge

On Thursday last at Davenham in the 80th year of his age the Rev J TOMKINSON, twenty two years rector of that parish a Deputy Lieutenant and nearly fifty years a Magistrate for the county palatine of Chester

On Saturday last, Catharine, wife of Mr S TAYLOR St Anne street and fifth daughter of the late Mr James BROMFIELD of Gatesheath in the county of Chester

On Wednesday, the 25th of May at Flamouth, in Jamaica, Robert GILPIN Esq, , collector of His Majesty's custom in that port and second son of William GILPIN of Whitehaven

On Wednesday the 30th ult. aged 57 the Rev Nash HIBBERT Minister of the Dissenting congregation of Rivington, having been their pastor 35 years
