The following prisoners have already been tried:
Elizabeth CUNNINGHAM (aged 35) for stealing Bank notes etc. to the amount of £36 from Charles KNIGHT of
Nicholas CUNNINGHAM (52) for receiving the same, knowing them to be stolen – Guilty
Martha TOWNES (25) for uttering base coin, at Cheetham – Guilty
William RIMMER (19) for stealing gold seals, the property of Samuel YATES at
John LARGE (19) for a highway robbery at
James CUMMINGS (52) for stealing four silver watches, &c. in the house of Thos. O’BRIAN at
Thomas KAINE (27) for having forged notes in his possession at
William Butterworth SHARPLES (35) and James DAVENPORT (45) for having forge notes, at
John MONTGOMERY (22), a black, for falsely assuming the name of John GLOVER for the purpose of receiving £40 due to the said GLOVER, as a seaman on boar one if His Majesty’s ships of war- Guilty
Ellen McCARTHY (20) for stealing eleven bank notes from James CARDWELL at
Jenny CHEETHAM (45) for uttering forged notes at
John WARBURTON (24) for robbing Ann GREGORY of sixpennyworth of copper near Over Darwen – Guilty
Thomas ROBINSON (21) and Thomas TAYLOR (21) for high-way robbery at
Samuel JACKSON (30) for having forged notes at Whalley – Pleaded Guilty
Thomas CLAYTON (54) for having forged notes in his possession at Spotland near
Margaret O’NEILL (65) for uttering base coin at
Moses OWEN, alias WOODINGTON , alias BRYANT (24) and James CRIB (17) for stealing horses at
Abel ASPINALL (18) Jeremiah ANDREWS (21) and James Dighton ROBERTS (20) for burglary in the house of James TANTON at
John MORGAN (17) for stealing divers articles, the property of George SLATER, Hugh
Henry CUNLIFFE (11) For stealing a letter in the Post Office Preston- Acquitted
Henry CORNISH, for a burglary at the house of Henry SANDERS, at
Thomas BLACKLEGE (17) for picking the pocket of George HOLT at
