The musical festivals held Trienially are very attractive and are not considered inferior to any similar institution in the kingdom
The Philarmonic Hall Hope street is a building of great magnificence, capable of holding three thousand persons and it's acoustic properties are said to be the best in the kingdom - it was designed and superintended by Mr Cunningham
Other buildings devoted to musical entertainments and public meetings are Wellington Rooms, Mount Pleasant. Hope Hall, Hope street. The Concert Hall Lord Nelson street. The Queen's Hall, Bold street. and St James's Hall Lime street
